Troy is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in May 2006. He graduated Sum Cum Laude and was a Provost Scholar with a cumulative grade point of 3.91. Troy went on to attain a Master’s Degree in Sports Science with a concentration in Sport Studies while simultaneously completing an assistantship at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Troy’s other experiences include managing a Human Performance Lab where he assessed and evaluated the physical fitness levels of diverse individuals ranging from collegiate level to the chronically ill. This position allowed for the opportunity to work with state-of-the art testing equipment including the Parvo Metabolic Cart and the Bod Pod.
Troy’s teaching experience includes Health and Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Prescription, Physical Fitness Appraisal, Biomechanics, and Aerobic Leadership and has solidified his belief that education has the ability to change the individuals perception of exercise and lifestyle modification.
