Andy is the Director of the Athletic Training Department at ProCare which provides services to several school districts and colleges within Bedford, Cambria, Blair, and Huntingdon Counties. His diverse background, training, and education allow him the ability to provide a scope of services, which expands ProCare’s “continuum of care” approach to treating the whole person. He has worked as a certified athletic trainer for 11 years at several school districts within the region and at two Division III colleges.
Andy is a native of the Northern Cambria area and received a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Mount Aloysius College, and a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a specialization in athletic training at Penn State.
He has worked in a variety of clinical settings. As an occupational therapist, Andy has 6 years of experience and specializes in treating a variety of patients and diagnoses. These include, but is not limited to: upper extremity orthopedic conditions, sports related injuries, hand trauma, neurological conditions, arthritis, and conditions resulting in functional limitations that interfere with a persons healthy lifestyle. Andy also provides various industrial rehabilitation services for numerous companies and corporate organizations within the area, which include: educational seminars, post offer employment screens, functional capacity evaluations, work conditioning/hardening programs, job task analyses, and ergonomic assessments.
Andy believes in comprehensive methods for rehabilitation by providing individualized treatment with a client-centered approach.
Andy's wife, Renee is also a native of the Northern Cambria area and is employed as a certified medical assistant and EKG technician in Johnstown. They have 2 children; Braden, age 5, and Zane, age 3 and are also expecting a new baby girl in March.
Andy enjoys hunting, golfing, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
