Literally translates to "big feed."  It means consuming large amounts of a particular local ingredient while it is in season.  Hopefully, you are partaking of summer's bounty and enjoying all of the fresh fruits and vegetables that are available now.  Keep in mind that it is not too late to plant some beets or kale for fall eating!

July is UV Safety Month

Join ProCare Fitness in taking action to prevent skin cancer and reduce the risk of UV damage.  You can take steps today to protect your skin:

* Stay out of the sun between 10 am and 4 pm * Use sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher * Cover up with long sleeves and a hat * Check your skin once a month for changes*

Altoona takes on the 1000 Steps

It is a wonderful time of year to take on the 1000 Steps with your ProCare buddies.  A crew from Altoona's ProCare did it, and so can you!
